Experience the mountain world at close range and float with us over snowy mountain peaks. We start alpine tours mostly in the region of Toggenburg to Bündnerland.
We undertake this kind of trips especially in the cooler season. That means from (September) October - March. During this time, trips in the Alps (because of the more stable weather) are also much easier to plan.
Like all other hot-air balloon rides, Alpine rides start at a different place depending on the wind conditions. This means that we have no fixed starting point.
With north-westerly winds we sometimes take off in central Switzerland and land in the Rhine valley, Prättigau, Engadin or elsewhere. With SW winds, a start in the Domleschg region or in the direction of Flims- Oberalp is most likely :-) With easterly winds, we choose the take-off point a dozen times in the Prättigau and then cross the Alps in the direction of Domleschg, Lenzerheide or even Oberalp.
Depending on the origin of the passengers we meet a little bit central of all persons.
In the Alps there is a need for a larger gas reserve. Therefore there is only room for a maximum of 6 people.
You should be in good physical shape. Please inform us of any heart or circulation problems before the trip. If in doubt, it is best to ask your family doctor. There are almost no age limits, as long as the first mentioned conditions are met.
Normally we take trips to the Alps with our largest balloon, the blue east wind balloon or the Sitterdorf airfield balloon. In the warm season, alpine trips can only take place early in the morning if the weather conditions are ideal. We usually plan such trips 2-5 days in advance and contact the passengers.
